The Australian government’s New Vehicle Efficiency Standard comes into effect on 1 January 2025. It will have a significant effect on the take up of electric, hybrid and other low emission light vehicles.
Our three eminent speakers explained the background to this policy shift and how the scheme was devised and finalised. We also heard about the impacts on the transport profession – particularly the expansion of EV charging infrastructure.
